Gaskets are the essential component which is generally placed between flush surfaces to make a channel for fluid conveyance. Any two surfaces might not be seamlessly even or straight, but gaskets can create gaps to move fluid conveniently. Gaskets precisely create those gaps which can effectively remove any leakage in the pathway. There must be specific rules to select perfect flange gaskets. While selecting Flange gaskets, there are some factors to consider such as type of fluid conveyed by the pipeline, operating temperature or pressure, type, size, and pressure ratings of the flange, metal grade, and specifications.

Another factor to consider while selecting the best gasket is temperature and pressure ratings. The gasket material is suitable to endure the maximum temperature and pressures in operation.
