Aluminium 7050 Sheet and Plate is a heat-treatable aluminium alloy with high strength, excellent stress corrosion cracking resistance, and good mechanical properties. It is commonly used in aerospace applications, including aircraft and structural components. The alloy comprises zinc, magnesium, copper and chromium at 0.5-2% concentrations. This aluminium alloy offers excellent exfoliation corrosion resistance and superior tensile strength compared to 7000 series alloys such as 7010 or 7075. Its yield strength reaches up to 511 MPa, with ultimate tensile strength reaching 690 MPa even when tested at room temperature. Due to its chemical composition, the UNS A97050 sheet plate<\/strong> provides better fracture toughness than other grades of aluminium alloys, making it the perfect choice for parts that require higher yield stresses or increased fatigue performance under a range of temperatures.<\/p>\n
